Work|Volunteer|Education

My first 20 years in tourism, I was passionate about connecting people with places. Now I’m interested in digging deeper and understanding why people connect with a destination and how we can build deeper meaning into our tourism experiences, while prioritizing a way for our consumers to connect with these same places in a way that is responsible, respectful and regenerative where possible. Here is what I’ve been busy with for the past few years.

Some of the roles I’ve held allowed me to work on things like:

  • Outdoor Education and Tour Planning
  • Urban & Remote Area Tour Guiding
  • Indigenous & Cultural Tour Product Development
  • Marketing Agency Campaign Planning & Execution
  • Publishing & Communications
  • Large-Scale Event Management
  • Destination Development & Strategic Tourism Planning
  • Stakeholder Facilitation & Workshop Development
  • Community Economic Development Plans
  • Bicycle Tourism Destination Development
  • Adventure Tour Guiding and Product Development
  • Tourism Education & Academic Research
